Our Mission

KC Farm School at Gibbs Road empowers individuals of all ages, ancestries, and abilities
through on-farm, hands-on experiences and vocational education
connecting them to the land and soil, food, community, and opportunity.

Our Vision

At the center of its community,
the farm generates an inspiring environment transforming the individual and society
through community-wide, multi-generational, participatory, and collaborative food projects
while it provides job training opportunities, healing and fun.

Good Grows at Gibbs

We empower individuals of all ages, abilities and ancestries
to feel, to learn, to grow and to share.
Moving about under the big Kansas sky, we are free.
Working in the soil, we are one.
In this together; we celebrate our differences as we grow common ground.

Black Lives Matter
We are here.
As people of color and as white people,
as young and old people, as queer and straight people,
we stand with our neighbors showing up for freedom,
justice, for reparations and for peace.
We are here, listening.
We are here to break down
the country's age-old system of hate and oppression.
At this moment and always.
Empowering the community to grow food is our action.
Now, more than ever, we are resolute in that mission.
We have hope.
With our neighbors, we will pull our community together in antiracist calls to action.
We will remain steadfast in our loyalty
to black and brown Americans
and to those who are immigrants and refugees from other lands.
We are stronger and better together.
We are here. We see you.
We strive to honor the names of those we know
and the thousands of people whose names we do not,
as we walk toward peace and co-create a future better than yesterday, better than today.
Black Lives Matter

Our food and educational programming are always Pay What You’re Able.

Access to safe, nutritious food is a human right.
Access to education creates opportunity.
Healthy food grows healthy people and healthy communities.

We know that when everyone shares what they have, then everyone can have what they need.
