Come hang out at the KC Farm School Farmers Market during our KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S. Coalition Happy Hour & Action Team Meeting. Enjoy a refreshing drink, connect with fellow food growers and food system friends, and plug into the work of KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S. Coalition. We'll gather informally to meet new friends, share updates, celebrate progress, and take action together on upcoming initiatives, including:
Coalition Governance & Sustainability
Grower Support & Volunteering
Land Access & Succession Planning
Marketing & Outreach Efforts
Resource Hive Cultivation
Youth Engagement
Whether you're a new or old Coalition member, aspiring or retiring grower, or just a member of our local food community, your ideas and help are welcome.
Some drinks and snacks are provided. And, if you're able to bring some drinks and/or snacks to share, that's great too. Bring a pen, paper, and let's turn some ideas into action!
KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S. (aka Kansas City Farmers and Ranchers for Mentoring, Education, and Resource Sharing) Coalition is a project led by KC Farm School at Gibbs Road and Kansas City Black Urban Growers Inc. (KC BUGs). It was developed with seasoned growers and ranchers to provide support, community, and hands-on education for aspiring and new growers and ranchers across the Kansas City region and to transition/preserve farmland for the coming generations.
We are grateful to the team of established farmers and partner organizations that have committed to helping guide this project. If you have questions about this event or coalition in general, please reach out to anyone on our team, including:
