It is time to gather on Common Ground.

In 2021, we purchased an additional eleven acres of raw, rolling land just east of our beloved Gibbs Road Farm,
knowing it would become a gathering and growing space with wild and shared places,
and room for orchards, animals, composting, and more.
We imagine Common Ground as a safe space for critical conversations that seed action.
We believe in the power of this community to join in to create a tomorrow better than today, right here, right now.

We’re able to accomplish a lot because we invite the community to join us in the effort.
After walking the land 100+ times to learn a bit about the life and living already happening there and after a year of research and watching from our Eco Team, we formed a Common Ground committee dedicated to creating a Master Plan to guide our growth over the next many years.

In 2022, we received funding through the USDA’s Urban Agriculture and Innovative Production program
to build a wash/pack station, high tunnel, community garden, and an incubator farm space.
This three-year foundational grant allowed us to take the next steps in this project.

Since then, we have partnered with the Centurions and numerous organizations to bring Common Ground to life! Next time you visit, make sure the explore the innovative community garden space, high tunnel with rainwater harvesting system, bike and walking trails, native restoration projects, and relaxation spaces. We have welcomes thousands of people to events at Common Ground, including FARM FEST, and our weekly Farmers Market.

It is time to keep Growing Common Ground.
