Community placemaking with Chico Sierra

Chico is a Kansas City artist known widely for his large murals and visual art pieces.
He pulls inspiration from Indigenous arts from pre-Columbian Americas, Africa, the Middle East,
and Australia and creates inspired pieces that pull you into their story.
Chico has created a piece just for us and will lead the community in painting it at the Farm.

We’re excited to share that Marcus Flores will emcee the event this year.
Marcus is on our board of directors and has been a supporter since 2018.
His story and his insights will bring humor and heart to the stage.

So much gratitude for all who’ve shared what they have
so that we can have what we need to make this event a big fun success.

How to get to FARM FEST at Common Ground

Common Ground is our eleven-acre addition adjacent to the farm.
The address of Common Ground is 2433 S. 42nd Street, KCK.

This would be the address to look for on Google Maps.

Because FARM FEST is a BLOCK PARTY, the road will be closed. Once there, please look for signs directing you to park at a nearby church parking lot or in our dear neighbor's field. It's a short walk up the hill to the entrance- and we'll have two gators moving folx back and forth. We do have VERY limited but accessible parking at the farm but most of the activity will be happening at Common Ground.

Please take a look at the map. It will guide you to FARM FEST.
