KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S. Coalition: Monthly Action Team Meeting (Copy)
Action Teams are the way we are going to move the work of the Coalition forward, both now and into the future after our grant funding is gone. We currently have 6 Coalition action teams. You can learn about what they are and what they are working on here.
Any Coalition member can join an action team, AND meeting attendance as well as outside work counts toward quarterly member stipends too when tracked.

There is delicious coffee, beverages and snacks you can purchase when you get there.
We'll be having break-out discussions and work sessions. So, bring a computer if you can/want to be able to get as much done as possible.

About KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S. Coalition
KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S. (aka Kansas City Farmers and Ranchers for Mentoring, Education, and Resource Sharing) Coalition is a project led by KC Farm School at Gibbs Road and Kansas City Black Urban Growers Inc. (KC BUGs). It was developed with seasoned growers and ranchers to provide support, community, and hands-on education for aspiring and new growers and ranchers across the Kansas City region and to transition/preserve farmland for the coming generations.

Our Farmers on the Rise youth apprenticeship program is a year-round program that offers a summer intensive apprenticeship program. This is an application-based, paid opportunity for youth aged 13-18 or those who have not yet graduated from high school.

Farm Planning for Planting & Profit - A KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S. Coalition Training
Start your growing season with planning: setting your financial goals, picking the crops you want to grow and those that are profitable. In this session, you'll get hands-on and learn to use online tools and desktop spreadsheets to make your growing year profitable!
Format: In-person demonstrations of applications and concepts, then hands-on experience using your own laptop and data
