PLANT SALE DETAILS
What to expect: We will be offering veggie, herb, and native plant starts in 4-packs and single pots for sale as well as compost and an assortment of seeds, plugs, seed potatoes, and more as the season allows. We start all of our plants using organic seed and our own potting soil blend. Plant sales will also feature vendors providing local food and goods, resources and more! When you arrive, most plants for sale will be placed outside of the greenhouse and grouped by type. The south end of the greenhouse will also house plants for sale.
Please be considerate of signs indicating areas of the greenhouse that should not be accessed. We share space with our community and some plants just need a little more time in the greenhouse before they’re ready to go out into the big world.
Parking: Please park at Common Ground (2443 South 42nd Street. KC, KS, 66106) and walk across S. 42nd St. to the greenhouse. Our team of volunteers and staff will help you cross the street, Limited accessible parking is available near the greenhouse at 4223 Gibbs Road, KC, KS 66106.
What to bring: If you would like to purchase compost, please bring a bucket. A wagon could be helpful too if you plan to purchase a lot of plant starts! We will provide cardboard flats and helpers to carry your plants out.
Methods of payment: We accept cash, check, credit card, and Venmo for payment. We accept SNAP benefits for eligible seed and edible plant purchases. Most plants are $5 each for a 4” pot or 4-pack. Bulk plants and gallon pots are priced separately. Soil, compost, seed, and merchandise are also priced separately.
Resource return: We kindly ask that you return or reuse the plastics that house the plants after your garden is planted. You may drop them off at the next plant sale or return them during our operating hours. Thank you for conserving resources!
