We are honored to collaborate with local farmers, community educators, organizations and businesses to host numerous workshops this year. We offer many other opportunities to learn and build community through our co-leadership in the KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S Coalition and Let’s Grow Wyandotte! We believe in the power of hands-on education to build resilient communities and sustainable futures. Our 6th Annual Community Workshop will bring together individuals of all ages to explore the skills, knowledge, and connections that foster self-reliance and environmental stewardship.
This year’s community workshop will be bigger and better than ever!
With a mix of beloved favorites and exciting new activities, you will dive into urban homesteading workshops led by local experts. From beekeeping to backyard chickens, baking bread, making cheese, candle crafting, herbalism, and straw bale gardening, this event is about equipping our community with practical skills while celebrating creativity and sustainability. The exact topics offered this year are to be determined because they vary each year based on community input. Keep checking back here to see the lineup.
Our Community Workshop is open to all ages and will be accessible through a Pay What You’re Able model.
Registration will open in September.
Monthly workshops are planned through the KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S Coalition through September 2026.
Workshops hosted by the KC F.A.R.M.E.R.S Coalition are free, but registration is required.
