Volunteer On-Farm, Hands-On
Bringing the community on-farm, hands-on is central to our mission.
Growing and teaching how to grow food, and then sharing it is what we do.
Our work is fueled by volunteers just like you.
We invite you to join us.
Greenhouse and Field Volunteering
Work alongside our staff seeding and potting-on.
The task depends on what the farm needs and the weather.
Group Volunteering
We can accommodate almost any size of group visit.
If you’d like to bring a group on farm outside of times listed, please email our volunteer coordinator carolyn@kcfarmschool.org
VOLUNTEERING FAQ
We welcome people of all ages, ancestries, and abilities to join us on-farm, hands-on. No experience necessary.
We provide all the materials, tools, and training you’ll need to perform tasks.
Please dress for the weather. Layers are recommended. Closed toed shoes are always required.
We ask that volunteers under the age of 13 be chaperoned on farm; youth ages 13 and up may volunteer independently as long as they have a liability waiver on file with us signed by a parent or guardian.
We welcome those needing community service hours to volunteer with us.
