Volunteer On-Farm, Hands-On

Bringing the community on-farm, hands-on is central to our mission.

Growing and teaching how to grow food, and then sharing it is what we do.

Our work is fueled by volunteers just like you.

We invite you to join us!

Individual and Family Volunteering

Work alongside our staff as we pot-on transplants, care for our field, welcome our community on-farm for events, and more! The tasks vary depending on the season and what the farm needs.   Sign up here!

Group Volunteering

We can accommodate almost any size of

group visit. Sign up here!

If you’d like to bring a group on-farm outside

of times listed,

please email our volunteer coordinator volunteer@kcfarmschool.org

VOLUNTEERING FAQ

We welcome people of all ages, ancestries, and abilities to join us on-farm, hands-on. No experience necessary.

We provide all of the materials, tools, and training you’ll need to perform tasks.

Please dress for the weather. Layers are recommended. Closed-toe shoes are always required.

We ask that volunteers under the age of 13 be chaperoned on farm; youth aged 13 and up may volunteer independently as long as they have an individual volunteering waiver on file with us signed by a parent or guardian.

We welcome those needing community service hours to volunteer with us.
