JUNE 21, 2023: FORAGING FOR WILD FOOD AND VEGETABLES WITH AMY BOUSMAN FROM KANSAS DEPARTMENT OF WILDLIFE & PARKS
Time: 3-6 pm; Hike and foraging/ harvesting from 3-5 pm and cooking from 5-6 pm. Join us for a hike around Gibbs Road Farm and Common Ground to learn how to forage for edible greens, roots, herbs, berries, and mushrooms! You will also harvest some veggies from Gibbs Road Farm. Participants will learn about the safety and ethics of foraging and have meaningful conversations about taboos in hunting culture. This workshop includes a cooking demonstration that will incorporate foraged edible ingredients from the hike!
All ages welcome. Registration is limited. There is a suggested donation of $5 per participant or you can pay what you’re able using the product below.
